SEEP is…

  • Salutogenesis: The emergence of health, not just the absence of disease (pathogenesis). We work on building the resilient structures and processes that underly health, instead of merely responding to imbalance.
  • Empiricism: Relating to knowledge derived from the senses. We use our senses and concrete measures within the external environment to help us build more accurate models of ourselves and our movement.
  • Experiential: Value our unique experiences and allow exercise, itself, to increase our self and world connection by opening to meaning.
  • Process: We work through ongoing synthesis, metabolism and regeneration. We work not to a destination but to respect the salutogenic process, itself — always moving toward the generative health field.
